Speaking into a fixed Mike, while making good progress around the Le Mans track before it was closed for racing.

Hows that for a coincidence? I watched the same video on Thursday. As someone on youtube commentated, "the 1950s Gopro"
And how about the locals walking/driving/ riding the course?

Here's another car at Le Mans Shay. Pump up the volume for this one.

And here is the car:

1978, so I'll bow to Al's superior knowledge to explain the ages of the Brabham and Merc.

Thanks Shay, that bonnet view from the cockpit brought back some memories. Dad had a 4.2 series II E Type and although the wings are higher on the D type the profile is very similar. The C and D Types are stunning in the flesh. Mike Hawthorne D Type 3887228019

Beautiful cars Gary, seen them at the Revival a couple of times.

I got a spin in the passenger seat of a V 12 E-Type once. Big grin afterwards, as you do! LOL.

If I ever bought an E Type i think it would be the series three Shay. I know the 'purists' would pull a face but I like the idea of power steering, a hood that doesn't give you a face wash in bad weather and the V12 is a superb engine.

You'll need very deep pockets for the V12 Gary. LOL The fuel bill would be horrendous.

The Classic car market has gone mad in the last 10 years, there's going to be a big crash like 1991.

E-Types Jags for well over 100k is ridiculous really, the prices can't keep going up forever.

End of Rant! LOL

Dad sold his for £18,000 in 1982 and thought it was a fortune. (It was for us then).
