I made spoiler extension using clear acetate.. cut to shape. I will apply some Slixx rivets decals.

Good looking spoiler Ron.
Why not use turned down brass sewing pins for rivets. I think they would look much better.

I have seen those rivet decals on a couple builds and man they look good. I have been thinking about getting a sheet of them.

The fire extinguisher came with the kit, just sprayed it with Tamiya clear red. Heres the final pics of the body, now I will get the chassis done..and start getting this one wraped up.

Ohhhh. the body of this flopper is looking wonderful. Are the white areas on the top and the sides decals? If it is paint, it looks great. If it is decals, nice job, and the decals came out nice and white (without any bleed through).
Either way, this is looking great!

Re: 1973 Mickey Thompson Vega Funny Car
Thank you, the white area is decals from Slixx.. doubled up to prevent bleed through. I clear coated it all with Gravity urethane clear..polished out with Gravity 3 step polish. I will post some pics of the chassis progress later today..

Re: 1973 Mickey Thompson Vega Funny Car
Cool fer sure, love the body color combo. The M/T funny cars were always first class in parts. I remember the radio ads promoting its "titanium chassis" and we wondered how anyone cold beat it, then realized driver, engine tuning and getting the power to the track are more major factors! Thanx!

Re: 1973 Mickey Thompson Vega Funny Car
Thanks a lot guys..glad you like. I know some of the parts colors aren't historically correct Im sure..but it just makes a model car look busy. haha....I have the body and wheel colors as accurate as I can be though. More soon....
