Morane Saulnier Model J - 1/72 Temske

Finished up this little thing that's been laying around for awhile.  It's a Russian made Temske 1/72 model of a French Morane Saulnier Model J used in early WWI by Imperial Russian Forces.  I drilled holes in the wings for the EZLine rigging.  Also attempted to use some brass photoetch stitching which proved to be a real pain in the ass.  Once cut from it's sprue it is impossible to keep flat.  That made it a bear to lay down on the fuselage.  Once I started, I had to finish it.  It also proved impossible to color without messing up the fuselage a bit.  Depending on the angle it's viewed at, the botched color goes from a little bad to messy.  LOL  But it's another one for the shelf.

You are being way to hard on yourself Mike, in that scale I think you did a grand job!

It looks OK to me Mike, it would look nice on my shelf. PE can be a pain to work with.

I think that is a grand looking plane. Love it, good work.

I luv those early planes.  It looks fine in the fotos, you should be proud to have such a rare one in your collection!  The underside foto where a bit of the engine shows is so cool.
