1963 Ford Lotus 29 Indy Car

This is the third and final installment of the Hall of Fame Indy Combo kit boxed by MPC (AMT kits)

I used the kit decals which were old and brittle, parts box tires and added some PE seatbelt buckles and Dezus fasteners.
The kit tires were two piece hard plastic and looked like something from a toddlers toy car.

I started this about 4 or 5 years ago and just finished it up in time for the Indy 500.

I have this kit "trio" how were they to build? Any issues? They all look great!

They aren't too bad. They don't just "go together" out of box but there is good detail in all three. The tires for the Clark and Jones cars are terrible. If you want to be extra accurate you can get aftermarket parts for them from Indycals.

All three are beautiful builds ............ but the Lotus driven by Jimmy Clark is special ............ the quiet Scot was my favorite, and it was a tragedy to lose him so early ............ great work sir
