Hotwheels Camaro
Well it's time for my NMA on the Community build #2. It's been so long since I wrote a new Model Announcement I am not sure I remember how.
When the Community Build was purposed this is the kit that came to my mind right away. So I said let's do it. I learned a great deal building this model. I know quite abit (not all) about setting up a drag car but had never messed with any other form of racing. Well Jeeps but that's not a race, just an excuse to get muddy. I was surprised to find the chassis was not very different than a back-halfed drag car. 4 link rear suspension, light weight rack and pinion, 4 wheel disc brakes. Just different spring rates and shock values is my best guess. Some extra bars in the roll cage, but not many.
Max told me he had built the kit twice and some of the problems to expect. Thanks Max they were all there. So I fixed the exhaust problem with the fuel pump with some careful twisting on the header. The fitment problems at the nose were so bad a 55 gallon drum of Bondo couldn't fix them. So this is what I ended up with.
So there you are. Now Iam gonna build that Ford Flathead Engine and then back on the Challenger 1959 build.

Re: Hotwheels Camaro
You did a mega job on this one Buck. Well done.
Fit problems with the front splitter!! Don't worry about it. How many times have you seen a car finish a race with just that issue???. Just adds that touch of post race realism IMO.
