1/72 Monogram F-82F Twin Mustang
Hello, seeing as how I have a car on my bench I might as well show the airplane
I am working on also. I have made quite a bit of progress on it. It is the old
Monogram 1/72 F-82 Twin Mustang. I am not a big Mustang fan but this is definitely
a unique and interesting build. It will be decaled an aircraft from 52nd All Weather Group
at Mitchell AFB, the bosses bird, Col. Oliver Cellini, an F-82F. These planes were retired
from the USAF in 1953, last prop in USAF service. Don't remember it as the last one was
taken out of service when I was merely 5 months old. Shame I never got to see them
fly. Here's where I am at.---John

First set of photos is missing for me too. It's saying you have moved or deleted them.

Re: 1/72 Monogram F-82F Twin Mustang
I reposted, I did not remove them. I have had this problem for a while.
not sure if my computer has a virus or Photobucket has an issue. My
wife cleaned out and ran an anti malware scan which helped my computer
run a bit better. I think it is a combination of Photobucket and my server.
I can not get fiber optic internet, had to go with DSL, almost as bad as
the "good old days" of dial up and 40s chat rooms, don't miss that. Anyways
here it is painted and gloss coated. May get the decals on later today.---John

Similar to the P-38 Lightnings, but altering a single engine plane into a twin, must've been a nightmare to adapt. Thanx for an odd one.

Re: 1/72 Monogram F-82F Twin Mustang
I unmasked and added the props and wheels. While it is still upside
down drying I added the bottom decals. The parts are now all on,
all that is left is to flip it when the landing gear are set up then finish
the decals on the fuselage and top side of the wing. Hopefully I will post
it in the completed site tomorrow.---John
