Nearly 50 years old ............

.... I was rummaging around in my model boxes in the attic and came across this car ............. I originally built it almost 50 years ago .............. my first reaction was to take it apart and build it up again using all the aftermarket parts and pieces which are available today ............ but then I thought better .............. it's built like it was built almost half a century ago .............. only changes are a new set of wheels from a Polar Lights funny car, Cobracolors Fiji Blue Pearl, and Slixx decals ............... upon sanding the body down, I went through five layers of paint before I reached the white plastic ............ red, black, silver, yellow, and green ............. this old beast has been around the block numerous times

Life begins at 50!!!!  Looks good.

 That is a great looking Funny Car. That shade of Blue really pops.

She's a beaut! That's one really rare model. I built them then and don't remember it, so it is indeed one of few in that line.

Sweet. My eldest kit is 30, still in its original state (ie crap!) I keep it as a lesson from history.
Just about every other kit that is pre 2000 has been rebuilt- some twice.
