Great idea Dan, I like it.
Suggestion:
To complete the look, how about scratching a windscreen sun visor, complete with holes?

I'll see what I can do with that idea.

Great choice of color for the PT Cruiser. I could never see myself building one - but then a Rat Rod - cool idea.
Should have a bit of pinstripe or small graphic somewhere.

I haven't checked to see if the "modern rat rods" You Tube is still up there, but your model fits perfectly with the fotos! Thanx for a simple, fun and VERY creative build!

I would have put some pinstripe on it but I don't have any decal and I'm not that good with the tiny little striping brush.

Re: Chrysler PT Cruzer
Hey, who called it "ugly?!" It was an attempt to do a retro thing, something we modelers often do with kits anyway. I kinda liked it, especially the "wood trim" one. It was at least distinctive from the Dodge neon it was borrowed from. It had its faults, but to my taste it looked cool and better than the Chevy HHR, supposedly patterned after the precursors to the Suburbans.
I keep checking the model conventions for the PT wood trim model kit.

Very nice!
You can add some side pipes and it will be a replica of this one. :)

Thats a cool panel van! Gotta say I'm not a rat rod fan, but if we all liked the same things life would be pretty boring.
Cheers,

I recently acquired a bent 1:1 PT. The model was a lot more fun to work on

Hi Dan,
I agree with the others, it looks great, about the pin stripe, have you seen the very thin tape women use on their finger nails, I used some black on my flying Vette, how they manage to cut it so thin amazes me...
