Anybody ever build a Fire Engine ?
Don't ask what put a bee in my bonnet about building a Fire Engine, but I have one...
So, have any of you ever built one, and if so, did you like it, what was it, and would you do it again?
Thanks !

I have never built a fire truck but have looked at a couple of the kits and shows and thought, Man that's cool. I'd do it. I love the color Red as it is. LOL

Back in the '70s, While into model RR ing. I was building display kits for my LHS. He had a large scale antique fire engine plastic kit he wanted built for display. Forget the scale, must have been about 1:16. It was a lot of fun and looked pretty cool.

I went though ebay and looked at kits. not a large selection, but the one ladder truck looks interesting. I was kinda leaning toward the style that was used in the TV series "Emergency", and would like to stay with 1/24-5 scale.

Not yet. I've got the Italeri Opel Blitz kit in the stash, but haven't opened it yet. Only other one I've worked on was a Yat Ming diecast that I lightly breathed on- black wash & scuffed the tyres, etc.
Buck, just let me know if you want a report on what the Blitz kit looks like.
Back from holiday, with pics to come!
Cheers,
Chris
