Re: Dragon Tiger II
Thanks for the nice comments guys
Al, Tamiya kits are largely superbly engineered and include clear, straightforward instructions which make assembly a breeze. That being said, they often lack the finer detail seen from other manufacturers and sometimes suffer from heavy molding.
Much depends on the date of mold manufacture when it comes to Dragon kits. Some of the old ones are truly awful with terrible fit, heavy mold lines and ejector pin marks. The newer ones often include substantial PE frets, lovely delicate molding with the smallest parts you can imagine, and acceptable if not excellent fit. Most of their armor kits include individual track links which look really good but can be tedious to assemble, especially with the smaller vehicles. Dragon is notorious for unclear and confusing instructions that one must study carefully. Dry fitting is a must with these kits, and the first one a guy tries can be tough. They are assuredly not for the beginner.
Regards,
Mark

Thanks Mark.
Multi piece tracks really put me off. The thought of assembling a single track with a couple of hundred parts is
