Cleaning out the filing cabinet of car brochures to flog on ebay, and found this from 1984
Add for a '70 GTO, which in my youthful ignorance I've labeled a '72.Village Motors is still around, not sure about the GTO.

Would have been converted to RHD back then.

I like the "Wide White Wall Tyres". Cool ad , agree a time machine would rock. It has to be big enough to haul stuff in though. Big stuff like cars and gold lot's of gold.

Gold has always been the standard, regardless of what time you 'live' in
- so how do you intend buy it, to bring it back, Buck ??

Thought I would haul the gold from the past into the present. If I go back far enough I will already know where it is and with no one else around I should be able to fill the machine several times.

Ahhh...that makes sense, I thought you had robbery on your mind?

If I design and build a time machine, can we go fifty/fifty on the gold you find ???

Talking Time Machines....I wouldn't mind going back to '57 to buy myself a Plymouth Belvedere 2 door coupe - the less flashy version of the Fury.
As a schoolboy I bought a magazine 'World Cars' in 1957 and saw this car for the first time.
Compared with cars manufactured in Britain at the time, the design of this car was fantastic.
If you could fall in love with a car, it was this one. I still have that photo from the magazine ....

You have excellent taste in cars.

America back then had "space age" designs. My Dad briefly had a late '50s Plymouth briefly with what he called a bent driveshaft that had the weirdest vibration, and that was before the Beach Boys "Good Vibrations!" Thanx for the trip back in time.

I have always liked the 57 Plymouth design. Too bad you don't see many around compared to other classic cars. I understand they were extremely prone to rusting underneath.
However, I recently rejoined HAMB and started thru their Vintage photo thread again. Just absolutely fascinating. This is a very long thread with lots of contributors.
Not necessarily all cars, but all vintage fotos.

Yep, Chrysler group vehicles all seemed especially prone to the tin worm.
and the '58 restyle failed to compare to the original Virgil Exner design.
Nothing can beat it in my eyes, you can keep your Ferraris and Supercars - I want a '57 Plymouth

G'day Ron, looks like the Americans are asleep ATM. My Dad used to talk about 'flashy' American cars from the 30s & 40s.

And you're right about the tin worm in the '57s. They didn't survive long enough to see the massive
reproduction parts industry that say the, '57 Chev has.

Or a some British stuff has, MGB for example.
