Right you are there, Clay. If it wasn't for the stuff in the lower corners, it would look great framed.
I assembled all of the chassis pieces together and painted them grey. It's not the color the instructions call out, but I like the way details in the interior stand out with that color. The instructions called for white.

Expensive BIG SCALE kit, but one of the best. Porsche always around international racing and the 911 is iconic. Thank you and I hope to see it come together!!

I bought it so long ago that I don't remember what I paid for it. But it wasn't as much as they go for now.
Not much progress I can show. Lots of clean-up of course. But I did get the basic engine and transmission pieces together.

Can't wait to see what you'll do with this one Paul. Alrady have a good start and a fancy stand!

It's looking good Paul. Then again Boxer engines always do.

Good start Paul, nice touch with the stand. I'll be watching this WIP, I want to learn where the tough parts are. I have one of these but it's the old Jagermeister version.

Let us know how those PE buckles go. I remember my first time. It wasn't pretty. Build is looking good.

I'll keep you posted on the seat belts. I figured starting with 1/12 belts would make it easierZbuckster wrote:Let us know how those PE buckles go. I remember my first time. It wasn't pretty. Build is looking good.
Front suspension has made some progress. The Tamiya bottle is to give a sense of the size. It's the smaller bottle.

Thanks Al and Buck. Al, those discs are staying as is....maybe next time.
Since the chassis is coming along nicely, it's time to resume work on the engine. The engine tin work was in this semi-transparent plastic, but I didn't like the look, so I sprayed it Tamiya AS-15 Tan. Also got the distributor superglued into place

Re: Martini Porsche 935
Why Tan? Looks good, nothing wrong with it, just an unusual color. Or at least that's what I am thinking.
