A Revell F/C I built 2 years ago. My first try at a Tamiya acrylic paint job with a custom mix.

I remember you doing this one Paul. I still think it looks terrific.

Nice work Paul. How bad were the decals? I have two of these in the works, that's why I am asking.

Fairly easy, John...nothing that you couldn't handle...but see below

Buck, the decals are so large, that you have to 'swim' them on with plenty of water to be sure of placement. Otherwise they'll stick down where you don't want them Also the hood decal...look at the hood scoops...the right decal got torn because of the extreme bump. I should have carefully sliced at the top of the scoop and let it settle, then paint the 'opening'..black

When I work with large decal's I put a little dish washing liquid in the water, about a drop or two mix it up then put the decal in and some of the water on the body, this lets the decal slide around without stickin then just pat the water out with a clean soft cloth startin in the middle and workin your way out when ya get it where ya want it. That's how I do it. John

Stunning build! These cars have always seemed odd but in a curiosity way. Great job on such an excellent subject from the history of racing. 8)
