1969 Ford Galaxie 500XL
I found the WIP on this build! YAY!
I'm doing a quick build! :o Yes I said it. I do plan on wiring the engine and minor detailing. Other than that it's box stock with the exception of a few parts that might get tossed in for good measure. The colour isn't done justice by my camera as it's NOT ORANGE. It's Fire Red and I did a li'l experiment to see how much I could get the colour to pop. I sprayed the custom mixed Fire Red over a MetalSpeck Silver Base. Man I have to say it POPS way more than putting it over a Pink Primer. I did the vinyl top out of Masking Tape and wire coloured black with a Permanent Marker. This one will be finished before 2011. LOL 8-)
Enjoy!

I used a Silver Sharpie to do the trim on this car since my BMF has become DOA. I also redid the Vinyl Top as I wasn't too happy with the first attempt. This time the colour actually shows rather well on this car. LoL
I'm still undecided if I wanna carry the vinyl top over to the rear area by the rear glass. Something to ponder. What y'all think?

And from there it was boxed up, moved around Memphis several times, even spent a li'l time in storage where the paint was destroyed and the vinyl top peeled up. So Ford Apple Red (Closest I could find to the original color) was shot over a Red Oxide Primer. Vinyl Top redone which I still feel I should have gone with a .010 wire instead of the .020 again. Enjoy and Thanx for following!
