Jim Clarke Memorial Museum....
..... Duns, Scotland.
Shay and I visited here a good number of years ago now and It's been extended since then. For 'extended' read extended and completley re-done, with further extension plans in the pipeline. It's absolutley nothing like it was but has been transformed into a 21st century museum. Unfortunatley the Lotus 25 simulator isn't there at the moment but will be returning sometime later this year. SO as the mere £6.00 entry includes as many return visits as a person want's in twelve months....... a visit when it's back is in order.
73 GP's entered (72 starts)
Championships 2 (1963, 1965)
Wins 25
Podiums 32
Pole positions 33
Fastest laps 28
BTW Shay, the Jim Clark Rally was on this weekend, so we also saw lots of British Championship Rally cars, including lots of MkII Escies.
Hope you enjoy the photos.

Hi Al,
Thank you for sharing the photos, may I ask if you have more please...
Small claim to fame for my Dad, he was Traffic Police, Jim Clark was visiting friends/family in my area and my Father stopped him for speeding, he always remembers it, he said he had never met a nicer person who had just been pulled over, and in case you're wondering, he only received a warning...

Halcyon days of Motor Racing - where Formula 1 drivers would also drive in Saloon car Racing.
The Lotus Cortina is synonymous with Jim Clark.
.....I didn’t know it was there !

It's worth a look Ron,it was very small when myself and Al went ages ago, bigger and better now.
It didn't take too long to get there from Haydon Bridge if that helps.

......Shay, you crack me up !
I’ve checked,
I live a mile from the A68, and it’s straight up north on that road, take the turning to Kelso ....and straight on to the museum.
Mrs.G and myself might have a drive up and check it out.

My geography of that neck of the woods isn't the best Ron in fairness. lol
Coventry to Newcastle was an adventure for me, I don't drive long distances anymore.
