Seat belt 'bolts'
One of my current WIPs is the Chev Cruze, with seat belts. I was wondering how to secure the metal ends to the floor pan, and came up with this solution.
No photos, since I couldn't get a decent one of such a small part, so you'll have to do without.
1) Drill a small hole (through the floor in this case).
2) Heat & stretch some sprue, so its thin enough to pass through whatever part you want to secure.
3) Cut to a manageable length, 20-30 mm works for me.
4) Gently heat one end till you get a 'mushroom' head.
5) Pass it through the part, head uppermost, and then through the floor.
6) Cut it to about 10-15 mm long.
7) At this point, you can either glue it in from the underside and trim the excess, or as I did, heat up the end so it forms another mushroom head. Since these ends won't be seen in my case, looks don't matter. Where it does, you could clean up the heads and touch them up with a brush.
Does that make sense?

Great idea. Much more elegant than just glueing them in place. Thanks for sharing.
