Sorry guys I've...............

.............. not been around much for the last ten days or so. I fell off a stepladder while decorating, landed on the bloody thing and had to go to hospital to get checked out.

Eight hours later, after bloods, x rays and scans, I found out I'd cracked three ribs. 'Take these painkillers, go home and put up with it'

I had a cold too and was coughing a lot so those of you who've had cracked ribs will know how painful that can be.

Anyway, I'm on the men again.

Al my friend... cracked ribs hurt like heck....I know the feeling all too well from my accident I had in 1996. Any breathing,etc. causes pain. Hope you get to feeling better soon and they heal quickly for you. I got broken ribs,sternum,neck and lower back,etc. in my accident...would not wish that on anyone.

Ouch! I cracked a rib 30 odd years ago. Hurt like blazes when I was 21. Can't imagine the pain in
an "older demographic" as they say. And a cold as well.

ouch....ive cracked ribs twice so i know how much it hurts

just annoying you can do bugger all cept wait for it to get better

Sorry to learn of this. Good luck with the recovery. Ribs take for every to completely heal, expect to feel the injury for at least the next 18months. Been there done that, too many times, and not at the the age of dirt either. sorry couldn't resist.

Owwwie!! I, too, share the unpleasant experience of that sort of thing and send you much positive vibes for a quick recovery with minimal pain.
