Wow this really turned out great.
Love it!
The white wheels really work on this.
Thanks for posting it up Adam.

Cool little build.
I had one of the basic Pintos as a work car many years ago. The Model T Ford probably had a smoother ride! After that I stepped up to the more luxurious Mercury Bobcat. LOL

Words fail me. Your dedication to do your best is rewarded! It looks ordinary, but the lengths you went to make it close to 1:1 with the real thing made this model special. Thanx for sharing the challenges and corrections that became a much much better model!

Faust wrote:Thanks a lot, harron68. You know, that comment "it looks ordinary" is EXACTLY why I build cars like this! You hit the nail right on the head. I love them because they're "ordinary" and no one builds them or remembers them now! I'm glad that it does convey that "everyday" vibe. I totally dig that on car kits.
I am also glad to share what I found out while building the kit. If it can help someone else, maybe someone building a replica of a car they owned, or still do, then my work is definitely worthwhile. Even if it just makes someone go out and find a point I missed, I'm happy!
Thanks for the compliments guys!
It was a joy to read your indepth description of the build and your insight on the industry during those tumultuous times.

Nice build..! I love wagons myself...4 doors and wagons are a overlooked subject in our world of plastic too much.

Beautiful build of a unique 'mundane' vehicle. I have a fondness for Pinto's, as well as Gremlins and Mavericks. Nice to see this one.

Thanks, and amen to that! If I could get an injection-moulded Escort Wagon, or 4-Door Cavalier, I'd be loving it.
We need more of the Everyday cars. Bring on the beaters, family haulers and grocery getters!
