Airbrush or hairy brush?
Hairy brush. You should know by now that I don't have an airbrush. By the way, the covers are supposed to be 'crackled' as far as I can tell.

Re: 250 Testa Rossa
I should really! I don't have one either but that looks sprayed on.
The finish looks spot on to me in scale.

Beautiful work on the engine and ditto what has already been said about those covers. Looking forward to seeing more (even if it means sacrificing a few more elves, lol).

Re: 250 Testa Rossa
Very nice work.
What I did in the past on a '31 Cadillac engine was cut the majority of the wires off before they reach the tube and CA them together so only 2 or 3 were visible at the entrance to the tube. The Ferrari tubes are actually tapered so 6 will fit in one end and 1 exits out the other - very difficult to reproduce.

Re: 250 Testa Rossa
I noticed on my references that the tubes were indeed tapered but I simply could not come up with anything to reproduce it hence the standard Tamiya vinyl tube. I think my wires are a little too big so hiding them is probably the best way to go for me. I considered stripping them but I wanted the bright yellow to show. Thanks for the input Mike, it is appreciated. I look forward to seeing what pearls of wisdom other members can advise me on as i'm finding this one way too fiddly. Eyes are going.

Re: 250 Testa Rossa
The black tube carrying the plug leads should be red and appear to be part of the cam cover.
This is  50's racer so the twin dizzys were possibly Magnetos, so you can wire them in sideways as opposed to having the all come out of a top cover like a distributor.
I can't seem to copy and paste a pick Dave sorry

Re: 250 Testa Rossa
Excellent progress! The cramming of the dizzy leads is an issue, the only thing I can think of is to selectively trim the insulation so that only the 'outside' bits look full which will allow for the 6 to be crammed in. Faking the number of leads can also work if you only have 3 or 4 of the leads on the outside which allows the inner ones to be stripped down enough to fit without looking like they've been stripped down.
Don't know if this is of any help but I thought I'd throw it out there.
