Re: Lancia Stratos
Thanks for the good words fellows.
I love this clip from YT, I think this is the best way to enjoy the real thing listening to its engine and gear changing rather than thrashing the poor thing around a rally course.

Re: Lancia Stratos
Yup. that's the 'whining' alright.
Dave, the car was purpose deigned for competition so for me it's best hear in it's natural environment..... flat out in competition:
Here's one at what I believe is Pikes Peak:
And if you REALLY want to appreciate the sound take a listen to this short clip. (btw, this forest is only about 25 miles from me)

You can't beat a good bit of solid manual gear change with hard acceleration.

The interior looks awesome and the start of the detailing already looks superb. And I have to repeat myself, love that body colour!

Re: Lancia Stratos
Looking real sharp David. No matter what a builder does that 'cage' around the engine is so obtrusive.
Looking forward to see how this turns out. Keep at it David.

Re: Lancia Stratos
Thanks all.
On to the fuel tanks. This will be tricky to line them up right.
First, I've cut some sheet styrene to close off the blatant holes in the tanks which can be seen from underneath.
I've tacked them on for now. Just guessing where they need to be.
First attempt slightly out.
Second shot. Perfect.
