Tamiya LaFerrari with HD set

Hi all, this is my next project I will be starting.  - Tamiya's Ferrari LaFerrari with the Hobby Design set and Tamiya CF decals. Hopefully I will make a start on it at the weekend.

I'll be watching this one too. I did this last year with the carbon decals and it took forever and I stunk of microset and sol for days afterwards.

A beautiful upgrade set. Something to watch closely.

I've been toying with the idea of making some YouTube videos lately so decided to bite the bullet and have a go. This is my first one so I hope you like it.
 

Thanks guys. I got the engine completed and installed in the chassis and started adding some wiring. I painted the engine block Alclad dull aluminium and the gearbox with Zero paints aluminium to give different shades as thars how the real one looks. The rocker covers were sprayed at a low pressure to recreate the speckled effect on the 1:1. A light wash was applied over the block and gearbox to bring out the shadows a bit more.

With the detail additives this will probably be killer !

The 'crackle' effect on the cam box covers is a neat touch.

Spent a couple of days detailing the air intakes and cover. Focal point of the engine bay so needs to look the part.
