'29 Mercedes
With paint drying, I turn to a new project.
We had a new store opening here and on a flyer, they said they had models at $7.99. I got a couple even though they weren't top of the line -- Lindberg
Although I like these old cars, I couldn't help myself from messing with this.
First, I filled the wheel cutouts from this 32 roadster that, at one time, was going to become an altered.
Then I discovered that with a little tweaking and a new back, the Ala Carte interior will work.
Found this engine in the salvage. At first I thought it was a Ford DOC engine, but the valve covers were wrong and it only has 3 exhaust ports on each side. So, I don't know what it is !

Still figuring out posting photos. I don't care for the large image that I get from Postimage site. Makes me have to scroll sideways. The smaller image is from the forums host image program. I'll be going with that one from now on !
Using as much of the Mercedes Parts that I can. So far, the 32 body and the mysterious engine are the only salvage parts. I sure hope this doesn't turn out too dorky ! Fitting the 32 body to this chassis is getting a bit tricky !

Looks like a lot of room under that hood, Clay. Can that be an old V6 from a Nascar Sportsman kit or a Turbo Buick V6?
Enough space to stick a potvin blower setup on the front.

Loving the look! The stance of the chassis and body is really nice, especially with your height adjustments. Looking forward to seeing what course you choose for the engine set up.

Re: '29 Mercedes
I'm staying with that small unknown engine. I had to relocate the front because the PO didn't have it lined up with the dual cam housings on the rocker covers. Had to rework it some anyway because it wasn't fitting at all and had to be trimmed at the bottom. Po had left the block green ! That's too bogus even for me.
So, going with the crank driven blower ( per the suggestions received). Similar to the Potvin setup, but Geezerized. Made a plate for the left side (bottom) of the blower and fashioned a plenum from a model A head to hold two Strombergs. Plan 'A' was to have the Paxton setup with 4 Webers, But it wouldn't clear the fenders !
