Cheers mr H.Mr Hirakawa wrote:Top work.
Got a few bits done today, the brake master cyl is in and started wiring the plugs.
The air filter is on and the header rank is fitted.
A nice touch is an electric cooling fan for the radiator - I really do like this kit.

Cheers Gaz.
Got the plug wires one today,to those that dont know 18 months ago I had a severe stroke and my dexterity is shot to bits - the frustration level is HIGH!!!! and between dropping bits and losing them..........
Any one who tells me that they ''understand'' can go take a long walk off a short pier!!!!
I am seriously considering not wiring any more engines,it will look poor but that is easier than dealing with the frustration..

We have to work with what we got, as long as your building and enjoying it, giver Nigel.

Wiring is a weakness to me and I recognise that, still enjoy kits for the most part though.

Don't worry about it Nige....... just as long as you enjoy it, is all that matters.

If wiring frustrates you - forget it. But stick with the hobby if you enjoy it.

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
Nigel, did the wiring come in the kit? I have not looked closely at mine yet.

First of all here is part of the instruction sheet, rather interesting.
Got the engine,headers,driveshaft etc installed.
Exhausts too.
Interior too.
Firewall is in too, fitted the ignition pack and made a coil for it.
Just a mockup shot.

Looking good Nigel. If it is a coil, that is one big coil, the other box is the ignition booster box.

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
Well it is a Ford (fix or repair daily..) so needs a big coil.Plastic Freak wrote:Looking good Nigel. If it is a coil, that is one big coil, the other box is the ignition booster box.

Looking beautiful! The electric fan is indeed a nice touch and adds so much to the detailing. Love the body colour as well!

That's some lovely work all around Nigel. The engine is rockin' and the colour beautiful! Humbrol has some nice colours but I'm too young and impatient for enamall to fully cure.

Re: 34 Ford phaeton.
I used to think that too Denis, but if you thin it with Acetone 50/50 it dries WAY faster, more like lacquer.Shelby wrote:That's some lovely work all around Nigel.
