Street Challenger
Box literature doesn't state the year of this model. but these late 60's MOPARS are all gorgeous!
So, saying that, I'm kinda reluctant to try sectioning this, but I'll try a discrete one,
The 55 Chevy was 'fat' and benefited quite a bit with a 1/4 " section.
The 2010 Challenger was 'fat' also. I had given it a pie cut section, which improved that also.
First step was to paint the engine to give it time to dry before messing with it.
Not planning to deviate much from a kit assembly other than the sectioning. but, it HAS to be lowered some (Geezer's rule #1), so the front spindles were raised some.
The rear is a different challenge altogether. They made it very difficult to install lowering blocks. Being the astute perfectionist that I am, I finally just cut the ##*n springs !

Your sectioning work is so well planned and completed, one can't tell WHY the finished products look so right, and so cool.

If it don't fit push it in harder...if it still doesn't, get a saw!
I like how it comes in red plastic!

Here is the Chop plan. The center 1/8 " section ,left in red here, is to be removed. I am not going to try to compromise the end sections and will make adjustment on the lower ends as needed.

Igor got busy with his Sawzall.
Can't hardly say that there's not much noticable difference. Gives Igor and I something to do, though, and it makes a kit assembly last longer.

Re: Street Challenger
I think the front end will benefit more and you will see more of a difference once you have that shaped Clay.
Looks like the front panel line of the door stayed flushed but you have your work cut out for the back one. It seems awfully close to the existing one when the time will come to scribe a new one.
You'll make it work I'm sure.

Re: Street Challenger
Clever and unusual section job. I would expect front and rear ends would hang low, but they don't! You can imagine what others would never! I'll enjoy this trip along your ground-scraper's path.

Re: Street Challenger
I've taken 1/8 " out of the interior tub. For me, this almost never works out as simple, easy, and straight forward as one thinks it should be. I usually eliminate the tub assembly and cobble the interior without one.
We'll see.
We'll see.
