Beautiful paint and chrome.
Any reason you chose to try stain?

The look is well done. The "stain" paint is surprising. Chrome outside adds a lot and interior is realistic. Very nice.

Re: 57 Chrysler 300C
Temporary insanity, lol. I did it 2 times, this, and a 70 Challenger. What a pain. It wanted to pool and fisheye, so I had to spray in VERY light coats, and it never really dried, so had to cover in 5 or 6 coats of clear. Just a experiment to match the colors I wanted.RetiredMike wrote:Beautiful paint and chrome.

Nice job MP. BMF looks good.
I'm interested.... how do you use wood stain for the paint?

I just realised this is an old build from more then 16yrs ago, wow has this ever held up well.
I would be interested in knowing your technique for using wood stain too.

Thanks. It was a non grain raising stain, I used a airbrush, and literally just barely misted it, over many coats until I got the color, then cleared it at least half a dozen coats, that's all I remember.
