He, he, thanks Max. I am counting on the black out or the train to tone it down some.
I decided to use these wheels instead. I cast them a few years ago as one of my first goes. They are for the Fujimi Porsche 917 Lemans car. I think they look much better then the stock wheels. I will paint them the same as the other ones, purple chrome.
Spent tonight masking the shell. Hope to have an update in the morning.
Well I ended up pulling the tape and clearing the whole thing.

Shoulda left the air scoop thingys in body colour Curt!
I've got to yank your chain occasionally you realise...LOL
Looking nice. The only real one I saw was white on a Northern Irish number plate at Dublin airport back in the 80's, even white looked good!

They're just as ugly in person.
Re the paint, I know it's hard for you not to be a real Richard some times.
I contemplated not painting it Shay but I figured why not give it a go. Not sure I like the overall look anymore, the black out bits look crap IMO. But meh, it's just a crappy kit I wanted to mess around with and try something.

I like both sets Curt but lean towards the five spokers.
However, I think the colour of the originals is too dark. If it were me, I'd spray the originals alluminium before making my decision.

I agree with Al, the pepper pots need to be bright to compare fairly.
I don't agree with Al, I like the pepper pots.

I guess I'm the odd guy out - I like the kit wheels just the way they look. It goes along with the darkside look of the car.

Re: Academy 1/24 Lambo Countach 500
Thanks guys. I'll figure it out, to be honest, I am getting sick of looking at this thing. I have had so much trouble with the paint and all the crap in the clear I have kind of lots interest.
On a plus note.
I have figured out the partical issue in my painting. I have confirmed the fans draw so much air they actually create eddies in all four corners of the booth. I had a q-tip laying in one of the corners, within a second or two of turning on the fans it was being blown out towards the centre of the booth.
So to confirm this I broke up some styrofoam bits and laid them in the corners, man did they ever get pushed out into the centre. I even dropped some from the top corners, same thing
Looks like I will be changing things up this weekend.

Hi Curt,
This looks sweet, even more so with the new wheels, they make it pop...

Looks fine, glad you can put it on the shelf finally! While I'm undecided on the paint scheme, I like the old Lambo without the rear wing. It's now old enuf to be called a classic.

Thanks Andy, I dig the wheels.
Thanks harron, ya the paint is definitely a like it or leave it scheme. The kit had the wing, I cut the struts off. I think it looks much better without it too.
