Lost my big sweetie yesterday

We had to put our big sweet heart to sleep yesterday ........... Sterling, our 12 year old Siberian Husky ........... she slipped and fell Sunday night breaking the femur in her right rear leg ......... at her advanced age and health condition we didn't think there was much of a chance for a good life after such a substantial surgery and recovery period ......... the vet was being honest and told us that, like a human, she would probably fail quickly after the procedure was over.

Rest in peace baby girl, I loved you so much.

I feel for ya dude, condolences man. Never easy to loose one of these magical creatures.
We had to put our guy down this past fall. He slipped and dislocated a hip, he had had a spinal stroke a few weeks earlier, poor old guy.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know and feel your pain. Rest assured you did the right thing. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Chris: I'm so sorry to hear this. I think that one of the few unconditional loves in your or my life is a good dog. I have had the good fortune of being the target of that love from two dogs, one for 12 years and the other for 16 years. Both of them are gone now. Losing them was crushing, but time has given me the chance to bring the happy memories to the forefront. I sincerely hope that you will have such a result with the loss of your friend.

So sorry Chis, its heartbreaking when you loose them.
