What's it worth??

Hi Guys. I asked the question in my Chevy truck with sled deck post but wasn't getting much action. I posted the finished build on a Snowmobile forum. The manufacturer of Super Clamps saw it and wants to buy it for his personal collection. What's it worth?? Never sold a model before.

That's a hard question to answer. First you have to determine cost, then add in your labor. I know the quality of your workmanship and think the answer has to be above the $250.00 mark.

I had an editor of a popular 'rat rod culture' magazine ask me about one of my models for their office.
Not having a clue what to ask, I procrastinated. Later, I asked if they were still interested and never got a reply.
Strike while the iron is still hot.......at least start negotiating.

There is really only one price for anything Brent..... and that's what the buyer is prepared to pay.

Start high, you can always come down.

Thanks guys, I value your input. He did say he would barter. Said he would give me one rear super clamp and sell me another one for a good price of $100.00 dollars. The clamps are worth $139.00 each retail. I can't help to think that the cost of things would be half retail? So I would have to pay $100.00 and give him the model for two rear clamps. I'm thinking he can give me two clamps straight across???? What would the clamps cost him......

OK I threw him an offer saying two clamps in exchange for the model and I will add a balsa wood deck and add his super glides to the deck. His glides are black so if I change to a wood deck they will show up better. I'll also add glides to the ramp. He went for the deal!!! Thanks for your input guys!
