e Models Magazine
Just followed a link to a new reworked eModel site.
Sounds cool, except they require one to be signed up to Pay Pal to join.
Not gonna happen for me.
That's a BS requirement to keep out spammers, in my book.
Guess I can keep on with the four sites I frequent.

Re: e Models Magazine
Model Cars Magazine was hacked. They put this requirement in so that only humans could join. I don't think they understand that they were hacked by humans and not by Spambots. That's what I was told anyway. Don't know if it is true but does make sense. my feeling is it will drive more people away than it will attract.

I figure if modelers are Web friendly, buy and sell thru it, they likely have PayPal accts. I don't, but then I'm behind the times by decades and am Mr Cheap.
Most folks aren't too concerned spending $$ via PP and I guess it makes sense. The S.A.E. mag website seems to encourage money spending as do many model and aftermarket websites. More and more the Web is finding ways to make a dollar and the thinning out of truly "free" organized sites that are well maintained are always in flux, disappearing as new ones pop up. I wish it were not so.

We aren't talking about S.A.E we are talking about Model Car Magazine. Two different books.

Re: e Models Magazine
I meant with the new e-mag that the Web seems to have ever more money exchanges and that having a Pay Pal acct is more common, as are buying and selling thru the Web. SAE and other sources are using electronic transfers (some thru PP) more and more too. The new e-mag's insistence folks have PayPal accts to access their material, for whatever reason, is unfortunate for many, but isn't as unusual as it was years ago.
