1950 Oldsmobile Coupe

Well she is finally finsihed. Took way longer than I hoped it would and didn't turn out as nice as I wanted, I guess none of them really do. :lol!:

I enjoyed everything about the build. Being a new kit to the hobby it made for smooth sailing flash wise. My goal was to build a stock 1950 Oldsmobile Coupe and that's what I did, except for the color. It's a Honda Color Hampsted Green. The interior is done in Greys and Silvers, they are neutral and seem to go well with anything. I tried to use the Wide Whitewall decals that came in the kit, but saw right away that it wasn't a working plan. I painted the white walls with an Elmer's Paint Pen from Walmart and then dull coated them. The engine has sparkplug wires and boots, vaccum lines, and fuel lines. All done with different gagues of Craft Wire.

Buck, I honestly love the color! It looks 50's perfect for this car! It may have taken longer than you wanted but for me the wait was well worth it. Picture perfect and ready for the show circuit. 8)

Great job Buck. The color may not be stock Olds, but it sure fits as a 1950s color. Your white walls turned out nice too. I was happy to see this built as I have one in the stash that I hope to get to sometime this summer.

You did a great job on this one Buck. It justn looks so 'right'. Even down to the very slight 'nose in the air' stance.

Colour choice is spot on and you did a great job on the WW's.
