Dick Dastardley fantasy build.

This was built as a forum project elsewhere. The idea was to have a little end of year fun and build a Dick Dastardley 'Wacky Racer' from nothing but the parts box. Great fun letting the imagination run wild.

To explain:

The body is a Ford Model A Sedan Delivery. It's powered by a gas turbine engine. (Use your imagination here)

It has twin chassis. The lower chassis is reversible. High for off road and low for road and water.

The ski's are for snow and water. It's propelled across the water by a very powerfull water jet outboard motor, which derives it's power from the gas turbine.

Weaponry. (Skullduggery more like):

Split hose for spraying oil or water on the road, just ahead of other nutters. (Sorry, competitors)

Four (two forward and two rearward facing) Hyper Smart, anti reversible, fully electromagnetic, electronic, dirty underpants and dirty socks seeking rockets.

I also gave it a helicopter style 'collect' (I think that's the correct terminology)

Tech:

The rotor blades were scratched. The hubs were made from wheel backs. The outboard was made from styrene, for another build for which it proved too small (rail dragster fuel cell). The ski's were made from sheet styrene.

The rocket tubes are rigid straws. The rockets are made from cotton buds with several coats of CA glue. (I didn't have the right dia styrene rod, so had to improvise. LOL).

The oil drums are part of a batch sent to me by a member at another site some while ago. The exhausts are bendi straws.

The engine compartment is a bit of the plastic tube I keep my styrene rod in and the radiator is one of the end caps from same.

The oil and water nozzle, is something from the parts box. Maybe a brake servo??

Hey Al, hopefully you will move or at least duplicate the Challenge over here. My parts box has grown quite a bit and I'm looking forward to the Dick Dastardley later this year.
