1957 Ranchero Pro Stock

I hope this is considered a pro stock, if not, one of the admins can correct the title. Its the Revell chopped top release 57 Ranchero combined with the rear clip, engine, and wheels from the Monogram pro stock Thunderbird, and a resin hood scoop. I built it in the mid '80s but was not happy with some of it, so rebuilt it about 7 years ago. Not wired or plumbed but still happy with the results.







I have since, found another Chopped 57 Ranchero kit and a glue bomb original height build up. My next one will be stock height.

I don't see the chopped top Ranchero built very much. Rare at shows. I think it's because of the multi piece body. You did a grand job on this one.

When Revell first released the kit in the '70s, you could build it with the stock roof or an optional chopped roof. When it was re-issued in the '80s in the Street Demon series IIRC, it only came with the chopped roof.

I love the radical chop Sam. I didn't know that Revell ever did this one. Gonna have to start looking I guess.
