I have vague memories of building one or two motorcycles as a kid, but I consider this my first racing motorcycle.

Great looking models.
Not having built any, are the fairings able to be removed to show the engine detail?

Me being an ignorant but interested bystander, do you know what engine was in this racer?

Clay, it was a 4cyl two stroke 500cc.

It can be built with or without the fairing on it. I glued mine in place, but if you assemble everything right, most of these fairings can come off.
