HL wasn't a river boat, guys. She was a US Navy Revenue cutter. During the Civil war she worked the Atlantic coast and in the Gulf of Mexico. She is said to have fired the first naval shot of the civil war. Transition boat between sail and steam.

Me too having slow going routing thru the site. Didn't know what to expect from the title! It IS excellent, right down to the lifeboat detail. Thanks for preserving another form of our history of technology! The work is splendid as ever, thank you a ton!
