Couple of Cubs

Can't let Skid have all the fun so I thought I would put up some of my AC starting with a couple of yellow ones.


The one in front is a Hobbycraft Canada J-3. A challenging kit with a clear fuselage and no alignment pins. I added tundra tires and made the prop to turn. The other is an old Entex Super Cub. I added wheel skis from a 1/72 Beaver and computer created decals.

Nice, love the little bush planes like the Cub and the Beaver.

I particularly like the ski conversion.
I take it these are the Hobbycraft 1/48 scale versions. If so you should take a photo with a known object to let the guys see how small they are.

Stunning li'l planes. I see these li'l guys over at an airport not too far from where I live. You did an outstanding job on this. Keep up the great work.

This is the Hobbycraft kit. The other Super Cub on skis is the Minicraft kit. The Minicraft kit is much easier to build.
