Wynn's Winder Empty Wynn's Winder

This is my version of the Wynn's Winder Dragster. This was the last front engines dragster to win the NHRA Top Fuel Championship in 1969. 1970 Indy win. It wasn't the last FED to win Indy. Steve Carbone did that in 1971.
It was driven By Don Purdhomme. The first picture shows the real car on display at the Wally Park's NHRA Museum. This was my first 1/16 scale build and I really liked it. These big scale cars a fun, fun, fun. Hope you enjoy the view.

The build is right out of the box. The detail is pretty good as is. The next one I will detail more.

Stunning. Great job on bringing the rail to life. You do such an awesome job on these types of cars.

Very well done, Buck. I have quite a few 1/16th scale dragsters and funny cars in the to-do pile.

I build this one beause a friend ghave it to me. But I am collecting them also. I remember the pile that Bob Paeth had of large scale kits. Then when he couldn't work in "normal scale" he sold all his 1/24-1/25 and worked on the latrge scale stuff. That is my plan also.
