Suzuki Sierra! You didn't think I'd build a Ford did you? This one in the batch of junkers I bought a few months back. I only had the body, chassis and roof to work with.

Already (badly) painted, and nothing in my arsenal would lift the paint. So mud it is.  Interior, wheels and tyres from the parts stash.
I'll give it to a mate who loves his Suzukis.

After a couple of unhappy builds, this was an easy relaxing way to get back to the bench. Before it gets too hot. Which is right about now.

It’s certainly something different to get the brain ticking over. Can’t beat a bit of weathering. 😁
That’ll be a Fujumi model, I’m guessing.
They weren’t called Sierras here in GB, that name was used by Ford after they claimed it in High Court and stopped Dutton Kit Cars using it on one of their models. I believe we called them SJ40’s.
……and Big Al had a real one, or was that a Jimny ? - which ended up in a flood.
I had a Jimny hard top, bought brand new in 2000. I had it for six weeks before the choppy ride did my head and back in 🥴

I almost had to take you out back for a sound thrashing Chris, I thought you were talking about my daughter-in-law. 🤣 😂 🤣

Over here they are called a Suzuki Sidekick.

I think it's proper to make them dirty. 😁

Yup, I did have a Jimny. Loved it. Wouldn't want to go to London in it but it was great fun to drive knocking round the doors, and once I removed the rear seats, it was perfect for loading up with sacks of Horse and Hen feed.

I love the new one too, looks a bit like a mini Hummer.

It was quickly taken off the market in the UK after introduction as it couldn't meet the emissions standard. It's back now though.
