This is the first model I built after returning to the hobby. It was built in 2001. I got the kit as a birthday present from a family member. He remembered me building models as a kid. He wanted to see if I could still do it. I was kinda wondering about it myself. Needless to say it leaves a lot to be desired, but shows we all have to start somewhere.

Sorry for necroposting but I have to congratulate you on this build as I found it rather frustrating, especially with the exhaust manifolds which I had to break off and put them in after the engine was placed, so yeah, great job.

Beautiful build! It's even more impressive in context, I have no records of my 'return' to modelling and if I did I wouldn't want to post them, lol. Great work!
