Second moderator required
Shay is already a mod and I assume Shay you are happy to continue?
So on the premise that one volunteer is better than ten pressed men......
..... do I have a volunteer?
There isn't much involved which I am sure Shay can attest to.
PM me if you think you could help out.

Well, it's been a pretty easy job for the last few years, what with all the action around here

Re: Second moderator required
I've now deleted all previous moderators and reverted back to the original colour scheme.
OK cards on the table:
When I first came back here I was pleasantly surprised to see MrHirakawa and MikeC still posting some builds. So much so that I was inspired to start building again and send out an email to all members informing them that the site was still up and running.
This had the effect of bringing back a few members into the fold.
I have also tried to 'freshen' the site, which I informed you all about but apart from a reply from Johnag, (thanks for your input Andy) nobody bothered to comment.
Since I opened the site 64346 posts ago, (several years) I have put in an ENORMOUS amount of time in development and promotion of it, to the detriment of my own modelling time.
Now, when I ask for an extra volunteer, to take up the postition of moderator, my plea falls on deaf ears, apart from a reply from dublin boy, who was already a moderator.
I feel badly let down and the phrase 'all take and no give' springs to mind

Hi Al,
I never volunteered for the Mod position as I don't think I'm qualified because I spent so long away, if MrHirakawa and MikeC kept the place running by posting, why not make them Mods, I think they've earnt it...
With regards to the other thread about the colour changes etc, I think what might have thrown people was you put "I'll let you all know and ask your opinions soon. Bare with me.", I think people might have just been waiting for you to ask what people thought, I only wrote, because the pink was making it hard to read anything...
Sorry if I over stepped...
Andy...

Al my friend, we only have a handful of the good guys from back in the day posting.
Please don't feel badly let down, we know you're putting hard work in here.

That's true Shay but if not for me they would still only be two.
Well, I'm no longer prepared to do it all by myself ,while others simply sit back and whinge when something doesn't suit them.
If nothing changes in the next two days, their will be an untimatum issued.

OK, but it's not me that needs talking too and it won't do any good anyway Shay.
Latest whinge is that photos are being cut off but STILL nobody is prepared to even become a moderator and as you know well, that entails almost no work at all.

It's not a whinge, merely an observation that's all.

Re: Second moderator required
Al,
Not being appreciated for your efforts can hurt sometimes, which I can clearly understand. Ten years ago this site was busy with a lot of core members, and we took you for granted, agreed, but we all knew who was boss. Without you there wouldn’t have been a place for us to show off our models. Scale modelling can sometimes be a lonely pastime, and we needed somewhere to swap ideas, skills, show the build and finished kits, particularly cars, with like-minded souls - and this site did the job.
These days we are all different people with different pursuits and different outside pressures than we had a decade ago - and a lot of water has passed under our bridges - and having only just returned to the site in the past week, I feel I can’t be part of any decisions, but I thought I’d add my nostalgic two-penny worth.
Ron.

I'm willing to give it a shot. If you don't mind it a moderator 12 time zones away. I'm game if you are.
