Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha TZ250M

I finished this bike in Jan. 2019. First, here's pictures without the fairings.




Although this is rather trivial, the alum. wrap on the tuned pipe has two conical sections. In order to properly wrap it I needed a flat pattern. So I measured the two sections with my calipers, then drew them in 3D solid modeling on Catia v5 at work, then I was able to unwrap them to create the flat pattern. here's some screen shots of that:


Now, here's the completed bike. It is box stcok, no PE or CF except the rear fender. It's about a 20 y.o. bike.

Nice. Front discs carbon ceramic?

Hard to tell since they're covered up. Maybe so.

Interesting bike kit. The blue is quite striking. Interesting way the brakes are covered and I like the way you went above and beyond with using CAD to get a part made up.
