Douglas TBD-I (Devastator)
This one has been on and off the bench for just over a year and since I was still in the mood to do a plane, I dragged it out and got it finished over the last three evenings.
I bought it at a model show and it dates back to 1974!! so the quality is not great. I was dreading installing the decals but in the end they weren't too bad. A tad fragile and they were reluctant to 'move' into place once applied, but hey ho, they were almost 38 years old!
The red wing and and fuselage stripes, were meant to be decals but they'd been damaged, so I sprayed them instead.
Now back to those four wheeled shiney thinngs!!
