1964 Ford Falcon Dirt Car
It's been on and off the bench for three and a half years but it's FINALY finished.
The chassis is from a NASCAR car but I can't remember which one!! LOL.
It was going to have an engine but I've lost track of it, so it's going to remain curbside!
It has Fred's Resin Workshop wheels, fuel cell and ignition box. I replaced the gear lever with a pin, added fuel and brake lines, roll cage padding with 'cable ties', drivers window safety mesh and screen mesh.
The body is from an AMT Iowa Shaker altered (shortened) wheelbase drag car. I added 'patch panels' and restored wheelbase to the chassis. I drilled out the trim mounting holes, made a tail spoliler, added a beaten up rear nerf bar, made a 'ding' in the left rear wing, beat up and painted the front bumper silver, removed the bumper mounted turn lights, made the front nerf bar, added a mesh grille, and a fuel cap to the rear panel, and 'beat up' the hood. I aslo 'seam welded' the doors shut.

Very good, and I agree, could use a few wrinkles and dents. When I was building I did a Camaro dirt tracker and felt the need to put some miles on the metal. It's hard to get the right look but seems like we're improving on putting age on the models now. Thanks!
