Unit bases for 28mm miniatures
I haven't painted any miniatures for over 3 months but I recently watched a game of Dux Britanniarum played at the BBQ area at the Sydney International Regatta Centre and my good friend Tony had made some really nice unit bases. He inspired me to look at what I could do with the material I had at hand. My 28mm miniatures are based on round 22mm diameter one sided magnetic bases, so I wanted the unit bases to have a metal sub-base.
So here is my attempt, a piece of metal, a piece of mdf board, a laminated unit ID and a 22m hole cutter. One fully assembled and painted black. plus on painted and flocked

It really adds a lot to the figures. Very nice.
