Looks great, the sand is a good idea.

Aside from joint where arms join body, the figure looks good.the grey is most realistic. I did only one figure in my time, an old Aurora kit of a witch in diorama. I read up on military figure painting, using blended colors and highlighting some surfaces and darkening folds as well as using washes. As they say, "detailing figures can get really hairy!" Thanx for adding variety to this site!

Thanks for the response, again its just something I gave a go. I too am not happy with the arms, but the arms are movable. Which explains the wide joints.
I do welcome and appreciate all critisism be it positive or negitive

Re: Cornelius from Planet of the Apes
The first thing I heard in my head looking at this was, "Ape shall not kill ape." Amazing what can stick in memory from decades ago.
Love the idea of sand and extras for the base. I used to know a modeller who was big into standing figures and their work-around for arm (and leg) gaps was accessories which hid the gap rather than trying to fill them. Don't know if this is relevant or applicable here but thought I'd throw it out there.

The arms are posable hence the gaps in the joints, I am not happy about them, but it is what it is
