Cutty Sark - LifeLike 1/350th?
Got this one at a plastic model show a few years ago. I bought 4 old Pyro models and, as this was the only ship left, the seller threw it in for free since it was already started. It is a LifeLike repop of the Pyro Cutty Sark from the 1960's. This one was partially built up with the hull, deck, and masts glued together totally unpainted. The masts were dreadfully angled forward, so I cut them off to facilitate hand painting. Luckily this wasn't a glue bomb as some old builds are. Most of the work done on this one was painting and rigging. So another one out of the Wip box.
Minimal rigging applied.
Thanks for looking,
Mike

Excellent 'rescue' especially given the subject matter. The paint effects on the hull coppering give it a real sense of depth.
