1936 Ford "Billetproof Coupe"
I built this for the Billetproof Rod Run at the Southwest Washington Fair Grounds next month. They are having as theme table and the theme is to build the car from last years event shirt. The car was a 1936 Ford. So I built this for that show. Billetproof really leans toward traditional hot rods. There are some really nice high dollar cars that show up but 98% of them are rat rodish, old is better 1940's thru 1960's hot rods. So he is mine.
The car started life as a Monogram kit. The date on the box was 1985 so an older kit. I used the Ross Gibson 1961 Chrysler SonoRamic Commando 383. There part number RGE109. The Wheels come from the Monogram 1937 Cord kit. The rear tires are from the same kit and the front ones are scrap box. Also used finned aluminum Buick brakes all the way around. Thanks to Butcher Bob for having so many of them in his scrap box. Paint is WalMart Color Place Flat Black with 2 coats of Testor's dull coat on it.
All questions and comments are welcome. On to the pictures.

I remember this remarkable build. Stunning work and a great example of what a good Barn Find brought back to life would be like. Great job Buck! Awesome build. :)

Thanks everyone. When I showed up with this one for the Theme class. It didn't turn to many heads. There were some beautiful 36 Ford models there. I have done well with it at other shows though.
