Re: Lancia Stratos
Awesome work! The engine looks fantastic, the chassis paint is very bright and looking forward to seeing the results of the modding.

Re: Lancia Stratos
If you like the vague fit, you should try some of the 60's amt and MPC stuff I like! lol
Coming along very well, they are difficult kits.
What kind of glue are you using on the painted parts?
I got some non fogging superglue, but I haven't used it yet.

Looking good Dave, very nice work on the kit springs with the black out and red edging.

Thanks fellows. I use standard superglue gel. My contact points are actually scraped of paint for a better bond.

I assume the gel doesn't fog like liquid superglue?

You mean if you clear it afterwards? You can't do it beforehand..

Re: Lancia Stratos
Yes the gel will fog as with any CA glue but not if you use it carefully and sparingly. I apply it with a toothpick so as not to use too much. Needless to say I never use it around clear parts as thats just asking for trouble. I also try not to use it around bodywork.

Re: Lancia Stratos
Bob Smith Industries Super Gold+ would be worth a try, It's non fogging.
Angelo uses it a lot.
As I said, I haven't used it yet though.

Re: Lancia Stratos
Great work on the suspension and undercarriage! The springs look fine given that they'll be mostly obscured by the wheels. And the subtle weathering around the front wheel tubs is fantastic. (I'm taking notes, hope you don't mind)

1 mm in those Enthusiast kits can throw the whole thing out of kilter I'd imagine?
That engine looks fabulous.

The engine looks great in the frame! Hope the shock alignment issue works out easily and smoothly.

Re: Lancia Stratos
I found my glasses and the wear and tear on the chassis from stones and gravel is very subtle.
Most excellent.

X2
That's fantastic work.
You're leading me back into the game now, not that I can to that detail though.
