Ah, now I see. Great job Johnny.
A set of Tamiya mk2 Jag wire wheels would look great on it, somebody might have a set knocking around.

Nice one Johnny... it looks good.
I think the MkII wheels and tyres would be a bit big Shay.

Nice job with that multi-piece body. They can get real tricky.

Reissue of an old multi-piece-body kit. Still, a great little model. Wire wheels are so often the downfall for the kit makers.
I bought a kit with the idea of recreating a '60s drag car. It was a Healey with a blown V-8. The photo shows a long smokey run. Never did get to it.
I like the classic color combo interior/exterior you picked!

I worked on and off over 20 years for a VW and Foreign car repair shop. The owner had a passion for MG's and most of all Austin Healeys!
He had several Healeys in the parts lot and spent hours working on his.
His favorite was one like in the picture with one exception. He had replaced the missing inline six with a aluminum block 215 cubic inch Buick Nailhead! He went through it and had a cam ground for it and that little car would flat fly!
I was going to add the Buick engine but lost track of a Scale Auto issue that had that conversion article in it!

Re: Austin Healey 100-Six
Are you sure that there's a styrene Buick 215/Rover 3.5 litre V8 engine out there Johnny, I've never heard of one?

In the old AMT 61/62 Buick annual kit. But any early nail head would work like the one from the old 40 Ford kit.

Dunno if the block and heads from one of the "Tony Nancy" double dragster kit might work too. I think the red modified roadster-dragster had a Buick too.
