70 Boss 302 Mustang - Old WIP's
This was the final completion for 2016. Another stalled WIP out of the WIP box. Don't exactly know why it was in the box in the first place - the only clue being that I sawed out the transmission crossmember. Chalk it up to being a senior moment. Now it's on the shelf where it belongs.
Not that old of a kit.
Slight warping of the hood.
Well, three victims of the stalled-WIP-box rescued in 2016. So there's more left for 2017!
Thanks for looking.

Very beautiful, the engine is great! That needs to go in the MOM for Jan.
I have one of these in my stash, with a missing shell, no idea what I did with the shell.

A winner for sure. Much better than my 'Orange' effort.

I tried decals from Mike's Decals http://www.mikesdecals.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=tire+decal&x=35&y=12&categories_id=&inc_subcat=1&manufacturers_id=&pfrom=&pto=&dfrom=&dto=
These decals remain firm when you apply them. I tried other brands, but they were so thin they folded over themselves and wouldn't keep the arc well. At $2.75 for 10 tires worth, it was well worth the try.
Thank you all for your comments.

Re: 70 Boss 302 Mustang - Old WIP's
I hope the tire decals last over the years. Seems pretty "iffy" to me anything not glued onto vinyl could remain attached very long. I could be wrong. Engine is indeed the best single element in the model, very fine work. I always thought as the 'Stangs got bigger and more luxurious, the body designers were completely lost. I blame the Mercury Cougar excess influence in how they tried to make a youthful pony car into a luxury tourer for older, richer people. The price of early success I suppose.
