New from Sweden
My name is Charles King. Started modelling back in 2002 doing modern military in 1/35. Mostly modern armor or post modern stuff. I love big vehicles and not much of a tank person. I just started 1/24 back in 2010.Born in 1969,I have been interested in modeling since I was 12; though there was other interest that took priority at the time. Not until recent,in 2002 that my interest was rekindled. While browsing the Internet, I came across a gallery of beautiful military models that completely saturated my taste buds for modeling once again. So the rest is history.
I do, not-so-seen models and those out of the ordinary. I do not like doing the same thing, so I tend to look for obscure inspirations to work from. This way, the model or dio becomes different. I try to follow my own way of doing things, also adding other experiences from other modelers, by adding my own mix.
I started building trucks back in 2010. I am also interested in Sci-Fi stuff, but mostly geared towards big spaceships, hover vehicles and obscure high-tech models. Basically, anything that looks good to the eye, works for me.
So I hope you all will except me with open arms. :)
BTW, what happened to the Sci-Fi forum? I do not see any. Just curious.

Hey Charles, welcome to Skid's Place. I'm glad you made it here since the closure of escale.
We don't have a specific Sci-Fi forum, they just go in miscellaneous. If there is sufficient interest though, I could create forums for it.
Enjoy the site.

What?? Judging by that truck you've just posted I think you're at the top of your game. I don't think it could look anymore realistic if you tried.

It's so good to have a builder who is A) a bit younger than some of us, B) very skilled at your work, and C) enjoying building "out of the ordinary" models. Welcome, triple crown modeler!!
